- Philosophy: For me, being an indie dyer is about being in the moment. When I am feeling creative or inspired, that's when I break out the dyes. I like the freedom of dyeing something new every time and not worrying about what I have done in the past and what I might dye tomorrow. Every day I come to the dye pot with fresh eyes . I try to create a range of colorways so that I offer skeins for different types of knitting. Even yarns that look similar can vary by one shade and it might be exactly what someone envisions for a project. What people don't always realize is nuances can greatly influence the over look and feel of a project. Another thing about the indie dyer community is that many of us are here to collaborate. This allows us to have a larger presence inthe hand dye world. We all bring something different to the table and that gives us an edge to capture the attention of the yarn world.
